Memorial Planting Program
Honor a loved one, replant history.
All memorial gifts now fund an annual tree planting within one of Savannah’s six municipal cemeteries: Bonaventure, Colonial Park, Greenwich, Laurel Grove North, Laurel Grove South, or Evergreen.
Through our partnership with the City of Savannah’s Cemeteries Division, your donation helps replace trees lost to age and storms, ensuring these hallowed grounds remain lush and diverse for generations to come.
How It Works

The Annual Planting: Each year, donations are pooled to fund a community planting event during All Saints’ Weekend in November.

The Dedication: While we cannot designate a specific tree to an individual, family and friends are warmly invited to attend the annual planting to honor their loved one.

Recognition: STF will send a beautiful certificate to the honoree or their family to notify them of your thoughtful gift.
How to Give

Online: Select the “Dedicate this gift” checkbox during checkout. Please include the recipient’s mailing address for the certificate.

By Mail: Send a check to PO Box 8880, Savannah, GA 31412. Please include the honoree's name and notification details.
There is no minimum donation required to participate in this program.

Corporate Giving
Savannah Tree Foundation offers several ways for local businesses and community partners to show their love of trees year-round.
Be A Corporate Partner
Become a corporate sponsor and support the growth of new or existing STF initiatives, such as workforce development programs and the expansion of our community nursery.
Suggested donations begin at $1,500. Contact us to cultivate a unique partnership.
Sponsor An Exclusive Planting Event
Staff will work with you to identify potential planting dates and locations based on your organization’s interests, location, and group size. Exclusive events must plant a minimum of 10 trees. Sponsor benefits include year-round recognition on the STF website and a partnership highlight at the Green Gala.
Suggested donations begin at $5,000 to cover tree costs, future maintenance, project planning, and logistics.
Schedule An Exclusive Education Event
STF offers half-day tree walks, skills trainings, and talks on a variety of topics, ranging from native trees to proper pruning techniques. Work with our staff to craft the perfect team-building event.
Suggested donations begin at $1,000 to cover planning and logistics.
Join A Scheduled Project
Bring your team to help with a community planting event or tree distribution. We host community tree plantings most Saturdays in January and February. We also host tree giveaways, maintenance projects, and more throughout the year.
Suggested donations begin at $500, but we are happy to have your team assist without a donation, especially for small groups.
