About the event
Join the Savannah Tree Foundation for a hands-on volunteer workday at Ambuc Park! We are teaming up to restore this valuable local greenspace by removing invasive plant species that crowd out native plants, reduce biodiversity, and impact the overall health of our urban forest. With your help, we can make a real difference for this community park.
Volunteers will work alongside our staff to identify and remove common invasive species while learning why these plants are harmful and how to properly manage them. This is a fantastic, beginner-friendly opportunity for anyone looking to gain practical environmental stewardship skills and give back to Savannah's green spaces.
What to bring/wear: All tools, gloves, and guidance will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Don't forget a reusable water bottle!
